Highlights
- Eat In
Monday, September 7, 2009 Labor Day
3:00 – 5:00
Grange Café, Duvall, WASlow Food Snoqualmie Valley is holding an “Eat-In” which is a part of Slow Food USA’s first ever National Day of Action to ask that our nation’s leaders provide our children with real, whole foods in our schools. We will be serving a delicious meal with foods being provided from several local farms. There will also be information booths on cooking, nutrition and Slow Food.
Jill Richardson, food industry expert, activist, and author, will be attending and signing her new book, Recipe for America. She is an expert on America's "food system," an advocate for sustainable, local farms, and founder of the blog La Vida Locavore. Recipe for America provides an overview of the problems with our food industry, a vision of a sustainable food system, and delivers specific, viable policy recommendations.
Please visit the Grange on the 7th and sit down and share a meal with your community and support better food for kids!
More details will be coming soon!
